See’ing The Difference: On Eye Serums

Not sure about you, but for me, the first signs of aging (besides the grays) were the fine lines around my eyes. I’m constantly trying to find new anti-aging products that target my crows feet and tighten/lift my eyelids.
Why do we get fine lines? Because as we age, our bodies slow down the production of collagen and elastin, causing the skin to lose its firm smooth texture. But we can’t put all the blame on age. Hormones (stress and lifestyle), pollution (free radicals) and sun damage (UVA/UVB rays) are also a major factor in this. I now understand why people do botox…
But for those of us who don’t do botox, I’ve found three products that actually helped out with my aging concerns: Drunk Elephant’s Shaba Complex Eye Serum, Guerlain’s Abeille Royale Gold Eyetech Eye Sculpt Serum, and ERHA21’s Active Eye Firmer.

I recently tried Drunk Elephant’s Shaba Complex Eye Serum, and I felt this product worked really well for brightening the skin and reducing my fine lines. It did nothing for my droopy lids. I also love that this is a natural skincare company, and I try to incorporate natural or organic products into my routine as much as possible. If your focus is on dark circles and crows feet, I would check this one out!
I’m a bit obsessed with Guerlain’s Abeille Royale Gold Eyetech Eye Sculpt Serum. The applicator tip is “gold”, which it’s meant to massage your eyes as you apply the product. Basically a jade roller that dispenses serum, love! This serum is really light weight, absorbs quickly and a little goes a long way. Within a week, this visibly lifted my lids and reduced my fine lines. The catch, it’s expensive af.
Last year when I did some traveling around Asia (picking skincare up along the way) I discovered erha21’s Active Eye Firmer. I wish this product was sold in the US because it would be my forever eye cream. This cream did everything: lift, firm and brighten.
