Glycolic Acid

What is Glycolic Acid?

Pronounced glī, kälik `asid. Is part of the Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) family, and is a naturally occurring ingredient found in plants like sugar cane pineapple and beets. This ingredient is for all skin types but if you’re trying to target wrinkles and acne, I would recommend products using this ingredient.

What will it do?

An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that does an amazing job at exfoliating the dead skin cells revealing brighter or newer skin. Is great if you want to even out your skin tone. You’ll also find glycolic acid in anti-aging products as it helps with fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen and elastin production. Can also help make your skin look more plump because it boosts collagen production.

Ingredient TIp

With any sort of AHA product you need to make sure you’re using SPF, as it makes your skin very sensitive to sunlight.
