My Favorite Sheet Mask: SK-II
I don’t normally see immediate results from a sheet mask, but this Facial Treatment Mask by SK-II, makes your skin brighter and firmer right away. Out of all the masks i’ve tried thus far, this is my favorite sheet mask!
The mask is soaked with pitera (SK-II’s bled), a combo of vitamins, acids, minerals blending together to amp up skin cell renewal. I wish I could slather the serum all over my body. SK-II if you’re reading this, please send me a vat of the stuff. This mask is pretty expensive, so I do covet mine for when I need to look AMAZING. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend getting your face into one of these masks
What is Pitera?
Pitera is basically derived from yeast fermentation. It’s considered a miracle ingredient, that was found in the 1970’s by scientists who noticed sake brewers hands to be incredibly soft and smooth, which was a big contrast to their aging faces.
Based off of what SK-II wrote on their site, it took them 350 years to isolate the strand of yeast (Saccharomycopsis, if you wanna get nerdy) that helps transform your skin.
How to Use
Apply the sheet mask after you cleanse and tone your face. Want to make sure your skin is totally dry before you put the mask on. Place the sheet mask over your face and spread/pat it down so it sits flush against your skin. Leave on for about 10-15 mins (I do 15 mins because it’s magical) and when you remove the mask, massage the serum into your face (or wipe it off if it’s too much). Don’t rinse it off because you’ll want the remaining serum to absorb into your skin.
