I Reviewed Golde's Superfood Latte Sampler
Was finally able to get my hands on the Golde Superfood Latte Sampler! Currently you can only pre-order their 4.2oz blends.
I’m always on the hunt for products that can make the consumption of water and staying hydrated a bit more enjoyable. So over the last few years i’ve boosted my hydration game by included supplements and mixes from brands like Mija, Vital Proteins, Four Sigmatic, Moon Juice and now Golde.
Golde is a black-owned, natural wellness and beauty brand based out of Brooklyn NY. What I like about Golde products is the the common denominator: Turmeric. Turmeric is a superfood that also happens to be great for your skin! I use skincare products with turmeric to help with my hyperpigmentation. I typically take a turmeric pill if I feel bloated or as an anti-inflammatory when I have a headache.
With this particular trio, Golde mixes turmeric and coconut with either cacao (antioxidants and full of minerals), matcha (another superfood that’s also a caffeine boost) or as-is.
I’m obsessed. I personally would recommend mixing the powders in milk, coffee or a smoothie — mixing with just water made it a bit too spicy for me. Favorite flavor? I’m torn, but I think I’m leaning towards the cacao turmeric latte blend. I’m a big chocolate person, and this felt like a cheat treat without the sugar.
What I like About it
I’m obsessed with turmeric as an ingredient, wins me over every time.
I like that you can read all of the ingredients, and there aren’t any weird additives.
Tastes fantastic! I will be repurchasing the cocao one for sure.
No added sugar. A lot of ingestible contain sweeteners. So I appreciate that nothing was added in.
The Cocao one felt like a desert when mixed with milk, just the perfect night cap. The matcha one was delish for my mid-day lull. The OG one made for some really yummy golden milk, I also put this one in my smoothies!
Packaging/branding is great, comes with a set of cute stickers that are now decorating my work notebook.
Black-owned brand. Please support black businesses!
What Don’t I like About it
Wish it was better in water, a little too spicy for me. I guess this is where the sweetener would have come into handy. I will be trying these in water again but maybe with a little honey….OR are there turmeric cocktails?…
