Review: The Must-Have Mask by Arcona
For all the fellow acne sufferers out there, I wanted to share a product that’s been in my skincare arsenal for the last eight-ish years. I highly recommend checking out Arcona’s Tea Tree Mask. Arcona is an LA-based brand, and I swear on my life that this product works. If for some reason they ever discontinue it, I will boycott. Who’s with me?!
This mask kinda has everything: it reduces acne, it refines you skin texture, and it calms the skin OVERNIGHT! I love it because it not only stops my breakouts from getting worse, but it does a great job at eliminating ones that may be rising to the surface. The main ingredients going to work here are tea tree (refines/exfoliates your skin), sulphur (targets acne) and Lavender (calms). If i’m having a bad acne week, I like to finish this mask with their Chamomile Balm, also super soothing for break outs.
I typically fold this into my routine whenever i’m starting to get stress or hormonal breakouts. I can use this in the AM or PM, and it’s totally fine to use before your normal skincare routine. This has also been my go-to overnight spot treatment product.
NOTE: If you live in LA, they have a spa that i’ve been dying to check out. Please go there for me and report back. I’ll be sure to visit when i’m in LA next!
What I like About it
It basically reduces the appearance of any break outs and stops any new ones from coming in.
It doesn’t dry me out.
Makes my skin look even in tone.
Balances out my oil production a bit.
It’s great to use for spot treatments.
Affordably priced at $28.00
What Don’t I like About it
There is mint in this product, so there is a slight cooling sensation that i’m not a fan of.
The bottle isn’t big enough.
How to use
After cleansing and toning, apply a layer of the mask to the face for 15-20 minutes. Remove with warm water and face cloth. Proceed with regular skincare routine after use. Can also be used as a spot treatment, worn overnight.
