Citric Acid
What is Citric Acid?
It’s an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that comes from the acid in lemon, limes, orange and grapefruits.
What will it do?
Citric Acid is an ingredient that does a few things. It helps balance the pH levels in skincare formula, it exfoliates the skin, it reduces the appearance of your pores, and it also helps with acne. Because this ingredient creates a protective layer on the skin it keeps make your skin super smooth because it keeps hydration locked in.
Ingredient Tip
With any sort of AHA product you need to make sure you’re using SPF, as it makes your skin very sensitive to sunlight. Also introduce products using this ingredient slowly into your routine.
I never understood face mists — I actually perceived them as an unnecessary luxury. I have oily skin, so I felt no need to add more dew to it. While some face sprays just provide extra moisture, there’s a group of face mists on the market now that do a bit more. Osea has one of them.
