Another mask from my SE Asia trip, got it while I was in Malaysia. This clay sheet mask is by Aprilskin, from Korea. It’s made from a combination of Hawaiian clay, green tea extract, AHA, BHA and PHA. Is supposed to help with oil control and removing dead skin cells. Another benefit from this mask is brightening and soothing. All the things I like in skincare, especially after a long flight — which is when I used this mask!

It was a little tricky to remove the mask from the double film, but it stayed on my face nicely, actually hugging it upon application. I don’t like that you have to wait at least 30 minutes for the mask to harden. Was happy that I wasn’t getting any tightening sensations, which is pretty typical from a clay based mask. Overall during application, it felt refreshing on my skin, I think the green tea helped with that. When the mask dried, it was very easy to remove. After cleansing and toning, my skin looked bright and fresh. I also noticed that the mask did clear our some pores and made my face feel really smooth. The next morning my face felt just as great. I love that my skin looked even in tone and most of the existing clogged pores seemed to have reduced in appearance.

What I like About it

This is the first sheet mask i’ve ever used that actually covered my full nose.
It comes in two pieces, and hugs your face nicely.
There isn’t any added fragrance.
You don’t have that intense tightening sensation, like most clay masks.

What Don’t I like About it

You have to wear it for 30 mins or until the mask dries onto the face.

How to use

Clean your face and finish with toner. Remove film from the upper mask, apply to skin. Remove film from lower mask and apply to skin. When the mask is totally dry, peel it off starting at the chin. Wash any remaining clay from your face and moisturizer with toner.

Tip: Use cream around eyes, eyebrows and mouth. The more you wait with the mask on your face, the more effective.
