Non-Toxic True Botanicals Serum Review
Serums are lightweight products that absorb quickly into your skin. Unlike moisturizers, serums leave out a bunch of thickening agents and ingredients that help keep water within the product. Basically it’s more pure in form! I like incorporating serums into my routine because I find that they are way more effective for my targeted concerns.
I was actually introduced to True Botanicals when I did some work with them a while back. I love their brand story and their founder is an incredible woman, not to mention really kind. If you don’t know much about the brand, they are a non-toxic skincare company that does what it can to reduce their carbon footprint. Their ingredients are clean and they are constantly trying to improve their technology.
I was lucky enough to try their whole collection of products, and I love so many of them! Each one smells like an herbalist's shop, and they don’t use synthetic fragrances. One of my favorite products from them is their serum. I’m particularly fond of their clear (for acne) and renew (for skin damage) serum.
Renew: Repair Serum
$140
The repair serum I like to use for during the dryer months, since it’s a bit more hydrating. Basically this product plumps and brightens your skin and is a great addition if you are looking for an anti-aging boost.
What I like About it
It’s hydrating and makes my skin look healthy.
Light weight.
Smells incredible. Has rose, jasmine, and neroli scents in it.
Love that it’s a clean product line that has similar results to chemically driven anti-aging products. I love that it works and sinks nicely into my skin without feeling heavy.
What Don’t I like About it
I said that it did have similar results to standard anti-aging products. What I mean by that is that you wont see such a huge difference as quickly as you may see from a traditional skincare product. So I would say you would see a slower progression vs. instant results.
The price.
