Dr Barbara Strum Glow Drops Review

Dr Barbara Strum Glow Drops To Dew List

I got these Glow Drops within the Violet Greys Women Made box (a female founder box of assorted skin and beauty products). Dr. Barbra Strum is a coveted product line among editors, instagrammers and window shoppers. What makes the company so great is that Dr. Strum is always looking for cutting edge ingredients and had a focus on restoring skin texture and focuses on stressed skin (ello, dats me). She’s a real doctor and tries to make the most highly effective products. The line is free from synthetic fragrances, parabens and mineral oils! What’s not to love.

The product itself was made to make your skin glow. When I say glow, it’s that fresh faced model off-duty glow you always see. No shimmer in sight. What’s exciting about this product is that it doesn’t just hydrate your skin and make you look perfectly dewy, but it’s also packed with anti-aging benefits. This product’s a mash-up of highlighter, hydrator and a pore refiner.

To be honest, i’m still not sure how I feel about this product. Is it a serum? Is it a highlighter? Is it skincare? It’d kinda all of em. I found it odd that application suggest to put it on after your moisturizer considering it’s so light weight. The multi-step addict in me wants to use it as a serum. What. Do. I. Do. With. This. Product?!

What I like About it

  • I do find that this product leaves my skin hydrated (it better, it’s called glow drops) and looking fresh. I’ve gotten compliments from people saying that I was glowing!

  • The formula is light-weight and it blends really well into the skin.

  • I like that you can kinda choose your own adventure with this product. I didn’t try to use it as a touch-up, just in my skincare routine.

  • Didn’t irritate my skin or cause any break outs.

  • Packaging is pretty.

What Don’t I like About it

  • I don’t really know how to use it. Wasn’t sure when to apply.

  • Two-in-one products are great, but I think the product lacks a bit of focus in it’s positioning.

  • The price point.

  • For someone who already has oily skin that makes me ‘glow’, i’m not sure if the results are worth it for my skin type. I feel like if you had dry or normal skin this would be a great dew booster.

How to use

Use a pipette’s length of the product and spread it all over (face, eye area, and neck). You’re supposed to apply this product after your moisturizer step, over makeup if you want extra ‘glow’ (I didn’t do this), or mix with your preferred skincare regimen.
