Review: MediHeal Tea Tree Care Solution Sheet Mask

MediHeal Tea Tree Sheet Mask

This was another mask that I got while on my South East Asia trip! I’ve reviewed the Pore-Stamping Black Mask by MediHeal and had good results, so I was excited to try this one.

This mask is a cellulose mask, meaning it’s made from all natural fibers that stick to the face better than microfiber or cotton sheet masks. Another benefit of cellulose masks is that the materials does a great job of holding the serum in the mask fibers vs drying out or evaporating as quickly as other types of sheet masks.

The main ingredient is Tea Tree, one of my favs, which is great for calming the skin. Tea tree is an anti-inflammatory, which means it’s great for break outs, or when you want to reduce any redness or inflammation in your skin. Lately i’ve been breaking out pretty badly (prob stress), so I really wanted to see if this sheet mask will help reduce the appearance of my zits.

So the deets…The mask itself was soaked with serum! If I had a small container I would have saved the remaining serum in the package for later. It was super easy to apply, it stayed stuck on my face which was great, no re-adjust at all. I also like that it felt really soft and smooth. The serum was pleasant and refreshing — no tingling sensation and didn’t have a chemical smell. I left this mask on for about 20 minutes, because your girl needed some help, and once removed the serum absorbed really nicely into my skin. There was no residue left behind, so it would be a great mask to do in the morning before applying your makeup or at night.

Once the serum dried, I noticed right away that the mask helped with reducing the oil in my skin, keeping my face nice and matte. The next morning I saw that it did help calm my VERY red zits and kept my skin looking pretty even in tone. I highly recommend this mask if you’re struggling with some break outs or would like to reduce any redness in your skin.

High level break down of the pros/cons below, as well as application instructions and ingredients.

What I like About it

  • The sheet mask felt really soft on my skin and stayed on nicely.

  • As soon as the serum dried, my skin looked way more matte, removing any extra oil.

  • Slightly reduced the redness from my breakouts.

  • Reduced the redness in my face.

  • The package contains a lot of serum, so you can either keep some for later or apply the rest to your neck and chest.

  • There isn’t a smell or cooling sensation to it.

  • Absorbs into your skin quickly after you remove the mask.

What Don’t I like About it

  • It didn’t reduce the size of my existing zits. I’ve had better luck with other Tea Tree products.

How to use

After you clean and tone your skin, apply the sheet mask over your face. Leave on for 15 minutes. Once removed pat in any remaining serum into the skin and let dry.
