Hyaluronic Acid
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Pronounced `hīəlo͝oˌränik `asəd. Also known as Hyaluronan is a gel-like substance that’s naturally produced from sugars in your body. It is found in your skin, connective tissue and eyes. It can be used in skincare or as a dietary supplement. As we get older, hyaluronic acid decreases in our bodies, similar to collagen.
What will it do?
The fact that it’s an acid is actually a little misleading, because most acids have exfoliating benefits which can be irritating or drying, while this acid actually helps keep the skin hydrated and retains the skins moisture. This ingredient has the amazing ability to hold water, and it improves your skins elasticity.
Tip
Hyaluronic Acid is the perfect ingredient to pair with AHAs, BHAs, Retinol and Vitamin C. Do not use this with glycolic acid because it could reduce the effectiveness of hyaluronic acid.
This sheet mask is the most unique texture I've ever seen in a sheet mask. Like the cult k-beauty favorite Watermelon Glow Overnight mask, it promises to hydrate and sooth the skin. But which mask type is better?
